Christmas Behind Us, 2010 Before Us

This precious caravan came to my house last week. They told me that they felt like they had come home for Christmas. I am so glad that "home" came with us to this new house. We laughed, we ate, we played and we talked. It was sad for them to leave but exciting at the same time. This next year is full of much expectation. Jonathan will be one year old in February and is beginning to talk and trying to walk. James Blake will be here in February and we can hardly wait. A new semester of school is right around the corner and ministry plans for 2010 are being finalized. I cannot wait to see all that our good God has for us this year!

It is a new year and a new week. Today I started a new Bible study, a new diet, and a new exercise program. We are also involved in The Radical Experiment at The Church at Brook Hills. The plan includes, among other things, reading through the Bible and praying for the whole world in 2010. I know it sounds like a bit much but I am very excited!

Today I read Genesis 1-2. God spoke the whole world into existence but when He created man, He purposely formed him with His own hands and personally breathed life right into his nostrils!  Our God is an all powerful, purposeful, and personal God! That, sweet friends, is exciting! We are not here by accident. God has a plan for each one of us and a purpose in all things. Let's go into 2010 with excitement and expectation!

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Jeremiah 29:11 ESV

So glad you had a wonderful Christmas and that your house now feels like home although I miss you dearly.
I'm so happy that you now have family memories in your new home! I know the feeling! We live in a different city from where our now-adult children grew up -- but having them here in this house to share special visits with us through the past few years has enabled us to feel more "at home" here. =)
